This, that, these, those.

Dichtbij                      this                                         these
Veraf                           that                                         those

Vaak staan er verwijswoorden in de zin die duidelijk maken of iets dichtbij of veraf is, zoals: over there, over here.

I like this painting more than that one over there. Ik vind dit schilderij mooier dan dat daar verderop.
